If interested please email Cole.Pietsch@rht.com In addition to the responsibilities above, a business intelligence developer / analyst must be capable of translating dashboard and reporting requirements into proper BI and data warehouse (DW) solutions including data modeling, mappings, and transformations. Candidates for this position preferably have 3+ years of experience as a developer / analyst gathering both application and BI / DW requirements, driving design discussions, and defining solutions that fit business needs. . RESPONSIBILITIES: Required
Assist with definition of best practices and standards for BI/DW solutions
Assist with requirements gathering for end-to-end business intelligence solutions
Perform data modeling tasks using Kimball design principles
Perform ETL development using SSIS
Troubleshooting and maintenance of ETL
Create source to target data mappings
Development and enhancements of SSAS solutions
Development and enhancements of SSRS solutions
Guide direction of dashboard solutions using SSRS and Power BI
Expert in SQL (both T-SQL and PL/SQL experience preferred)
Skilled with SQL Server suite version 2012 or better
Skilled with SQL Server Analysis Services (Multidimensional or Tabular)
Skilled with SQL Server Reporting Services
Skilled with automation solutions and scripting (SQL Agent, Control-M, PowerShell, etc.)
Knowledge of MDX Preferred
Drive education of incident, reporting, and change management processes.
Understand how business savings is calculated for change requests. For instance, are the savings in terms of labor, risk mitigation, or something else? How can these savings be measured after the feature is released to Production?
Drive change requests to completion. Work with the development team to ensure tasks stay on track, align with business priority, and meet business expectations.
Be able to switch between change requests from different business units.
Keep the change management website updated with statuses.
Respond appropriately to business escalations.
Knowledge of DAX
Familiarity with Power BI
