Texas Tech University Coordinator in Amarillo, Texas
Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.
Employee to serve as administrative support to faculty, to the staff person responsible for the Residency Program, and to the staff person responsible for the Clerkship Program. Job duties will consist of assisting faculty with any secretarial/administrative tasks as well as assisting both the Clerkship and Residency Programs with any duties as required. May be assigned projects from time to time that require detailed planning and ability to coordinate tasks with others.
High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis.
Must be highly organized with great attention to detail. Must be a team player and work well with a variety of personalities, diverse cultures and education levels. Must be able to type efficiently with minimal mistakes and take on tasks that may not be completed in a single work day's time and ensure they are completed. Experience in handling confidential matters is expected. Must have experience working in an office setting or in a setting requiring much organization and attention to detail. Must be experienced working on the computer in a variety of office type applications to include word processing and spreadsheets. Strong grammatical skills. Must be adaptable to meeting the needs of each day which may change during the day. Must be willing to work as part of a team and provide cross coverage as needed, yet have ability to function autonomously as needed.
