Position Summary

This position is responsible for purchasing, receiving, inspecting, and controlling inventory materials, providing logistical support for incoming materials and outgoing product along with performing document control functions for the Arlington facility.

Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Purchase raw materials, tools and supplies for the plant.

  • Inspect incoming materials ordered per purchasing guidelines, material specifications and Good Manufacturing Practices criteria (volume and complexity of this task will increase as US suppliers for materials come on line).

  • Receive, secure and dispense raw materials, tools & packaging/labeling per local procedure and GMP/ISO requirements. Accounting for in-plant materials in SAP and local materials use/production productivity statistics for management.

  • Secure and manage local documents & records and provide change control and data reporting within the local document system. Assist with training as part of managing the training records and needs for updated training based on approved changes.

  • Collect, record and report statistical data needed for operation of the plant and compliance with regulation required of a medical manufacturer.

  • Will supervise of small group of logistics support personnel.

  • Conduct process optimization/flow analysis

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical degree required.

  • 2-4 years of materials management experience.

  • 2 years of management/leadership experience preferred.

  • Strong computer skills; ability to work with various software.

  • Strong customer service skills with internal and external clients.

  • Ability to interact constructively with peers, vendors and clients at all levels.

  • Experience using SAP ERP preferred.

  • Knowledge of process maintenance parts and repairs.

  • Good organization, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.

  • Intermediate mathematical skills.

  • Knowledge of export documentation/packaging experience.
