Texas Health Resources Verification Specialist - Intake Center in Arlington, Texas


Texas Health Resources is currently seeking a full time Verification Specialist for their Patient Access Intake (Call) Center in Arlington, TX.

LOCATION: Chase Business Office- Arlington, TX


1st Shift, Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm and occasional holidays.

Must be available for two week training period, Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Required minimum education:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Required minimum experience:

1-2 years hospital admission or central business office experience required.

Experience in physician's office is helpful

Scheduling experience a plus.

Required license/certification:

*CHAA certification preferred or be able to obtain within 12 months after hire.

*Completion of 90 day annual competency based insurance knowledge and skills assessment.

Required skills:

*Ability to type, spell, write or print legibly with general knowledge of personal computers required.

*Strong interpersonal communication, documentation and customer service skills required.

*Knowledge of health care insurance and managed care.

*Requires knowledge of general office equipment, PC's and associated software packages.

*Medical Terminology required.

*Ability to initiate, obtain and/or update verification and pre-certification as appropriate for patient services for each patient account registered.

*Ability to maintains daily productivity goals and key performance indicators


*Completes verification and pre-certification processes for pre-admitted/admitted/discharged patient accounts in compliance with productivity and accuracy requirements set forth by Patient Access leadership.

*Communicates with patients, Utilization Review, Financial Counselors, etc. regarding out of network coverage, inactive benefits, or items requiring special attention.

*Utilizes tools such as VoiCert, PixCert, Monitored Call, NEBO, ECARE, etc. to complete verifications,

precertifications, and notifications as required and ensure the system maxims revenue for the account.

Stays abreast of and complies with applicable regulations, entity and/or system policies and procedures. Maintains customer service and/or productivity guidelines set forth by applicable leadership.

*Completes other duties as assigned
