Job Description:

This position supports the AP Support team, vendors, and business partners in areas of research, inquiries, project management, and backup. Areas of focus to include: AP reconciliation, AP recovery audit, settlements, and AP projects such as 3rd party utility invoice processing. In addition, this role will be responsible for providing training and backup to other AP Support team members.


  • Troubleshoot technical and business process related Accounts Payable issues to ensure timely and accurate payments.

  • Take ownership in effectively supporting and improving Accounts Payable processes associated with settlements, escheatment due diligence and filing, 1099 filing, and IRS levies.

  • Research and answer vendor inquiries including payment issues, vendor terms issues, and past due items.

  • Ability to own and drive special projects goaled to improve Accounts Payable processes and the Accounting areas impacted, for 3rd party utility invoice processing, and Transformation initiatives.

  • Take ownership of periodic APOPEN reconciliation.

  • EFT solicitation and vendor onboarding backup.

  • Pay cycle and disbursements backup.

  • Effectively satisfy business needs related to Accounts Payable systems and the mining of Accounts Payable data.

  • Manage third party AP audit.

  • To perform other related duties as assigned.


  • Two to four years’ AP experience.

  • GL knowledge and/or experience a plus.

  • Store and/or regional experience a plus.

  • Desire and ability to learn new applications and processes.

  • Passion for continuous process improvement.

  • Ability to work comfortably in a rapidly changing and highly energetic environment.

  • Exceptionally strong attention to detail.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills and the desire to support all supply chain participants.

  • An unwavering desire to build win-win partnerships with other teams at both the Global and Regional level, with our stores, and with our suppliers.

  • Ability to use standard business software such as Word and Excel at an intermediate level.

  • Ability to perform business math.

  • Position requires flexibility for all shifts and all schedules.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
