IBM is seeking a Cloud & Cognitive Solution Sales Executive – Public Sector who will be responsible for the coordination and successful execution of all required sales related activities within an assigned territory or set of accounts to achieve assigned financial sales objectives. This role is focused on expanding IBM's cloud software & services into associated industries within the market. Activities include working with and leveraging other IBM client facing teams to create demand, identify opportunities, qualify opportunities, and then directly executing high quality professional engagements that result in winning opportunities that achieve assigned targets while providing high value customer solutions. Seller will represent all IBM Cloud software portfolio, which include both public and private cloud offerings.The successful candidate will work with our Cloud technical teams, IBM client teams and IBM business partners and will be passionate about cloud technologies, solving customer problems and winning every time at everything.Competencies include:

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Ability to collaborate with teams within IBM and partners externally.

  • Creative problem solver and open to change.

  • Ability to work in complex, matrix managed organizational environments

  • 5+ Years direct, face to face customer selling experience.

  • 3+ years selling cloud software in which your primary area of responsibility was US Public Sector.

  • Expert level in Cloud and / or Cognitive solution - DevOps, Hybrid integration, Bluemix IAAS and PaaS, and Cognitive solutions

  • Experienced level skill of PaaS based services on BlueMix - Watson, Cloud Data Services, IOT, and Blockchain

  • Experienced level vertical industry knowledge. Ability to articulate business models, value, pricing, terms

  • Experienced level skill in Design Thinking & Agile methods

  • Demonstrated ability to establish IBM Cloud Services Agreement (CSA) and Passport Advantage Cloud Terms of Use knowledge

  • Able to envision opportunities and create strong value props—helping client identify high-value Cloud & Cognitive entry points (e.g. new applications, transforming existing applications, or starting a cloud sandbox)
