Kforce has a client that is searching for a Data Analyst in Austin, Texas (TX).Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize efficiency and data quality

  • Filter and -clean- data, and review computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct problems

  • Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques, providing ongoing reports related to underwriting, losses, and product performance at multiple levels

  • Interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to provide actionable recommendations for underwriting/pricing/loss containment

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets as they pertain to onboarding new products or adjusting benefits or reserves for current products

  • Translate analysis results into C level presentations and deliver presentation with recommendations

  • Develop strong connections with Sales/Accounting/Reinsurance/Claims/New Business/Cancellations/Commissions/SSS departments to fully understand their influence on Office System data/pricing/underwriting/losses

  • Assist in system projects as required to achieve successful improvement in data collection and reporting

  • Cross train on Business Analyst and Loss Prevention Analyst functions to perform those duties as necessary

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's preferred

  • Proficiency in Excel, Access, SQL queries and statistical analysis software

  • Excellent written and oral communication in order to present analysis results clearly and concisely - ability to influence decisions, discussions and outcomes

  • Commercial awareness - must understand the business implication of the analysis and recommendations; be close to the business and have a firm grasp of the context in which the business operates in order to be able to provide -actionable insight- into high loss products, agents, dealers, or customers

  • Data dexterity - must be comfortable working with large volumes of data from disparate data sources, and is able to spot relevant patterns and trends; must have the ability to produce an analysis, not just a report

  • Attention to detail - must be able to think strategically and at high levels of detail
