IBM Digital Sales Specialist Internship – IBM Summit Summer 2017 in Austin, Texas

The Summit Intern Program within the IBM US Sales & Distribution division is searching for high performing undergraduate students, with a passion for sales and technology, for Digital Sales Specialist internships. This is a summer position. Applicants should be undergraduate students pursuing a degree in the areas of Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Integrated Information Technology or equivalent degree areas. The positions are located in Dallas, TX, Atlanta, GA, or Littleton, MA. Digital Sales is a specialized sales organization deployed against appropriate buyers and offerings. We have a purpose-built infrastructure consisting of Global Digital Sales Centers with trained sellers who are accountable for building and maintaining client relationships within their own territories. Leveraging their deep technical, offering, and selling skills, our sellers identify opportunities and develop client valued solutions involving multiple IBM products. We consistently build our digital mastery skills to expand our social influence and gain a better understanding of our client's organization and culture. We offer new "as a service" digital volume offerings customized to our clients and are responsible for generating revenue and maximizing client satisfaction.During the internship, the candidate will work directly with Digital Sales resources to assist with sales opportunities and contribute to the day-to-day sales operations of the team. They will gain an understanding of IBM sales practices as well as knowledge about IBM's software and systems products in order to help develop business solutions for clients. As Digital Sales Specialist Interns, they will have the opportunity to network throughout all levels of the robust IBM organization, which will enable them to form contacts and gain insights on future opportunities within IBM.Applicants should be considering a career in sales and have a passion for interacting with clients to help them solve business problems through the application of technology. They should have demonstrated business acumen and a desire to learn about leading sales initiatives and how to close business deals.
