Job Description

Job Summary:

Manages proposed managed care agreements and fee schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes all proposed managed care contracts and associated documents.

  • Analyzes proposed fee schedules and negotiates financial terms of managed care contracts.

  • Analyzes existing contract terms to determine if re-negotiation is warranted.

  • Plans, organizes and directs all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.

  • Assists in the development of a five year strategic plan for all insurance and value based initiatives across all ministries. Monitors strategic plan for key milestones and works with Regional Leads to ensure initiatives are met within specific timeliness.

  • Projects and manages major, national and regional contracting initiatives and works with Regional leads to ensure goals and objectives are met.

  • Engages in major national and regional negotiations to ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner.

  • Assists in the maintenance and development of all strategy and financial reporting requirements to Ascension, as needed.

  • Assists in developing presentation materials for internal and external meetings. This involves developing content for managed care strategies and major project initiatives.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Level Degree

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or healthcare

Work Experience:

  • Five (5) years demonstrated experience and success in contract negotiation and administration is required. Experience and success in contract negotiation and administration is required.
