ProSphere Tek EDI Business Analyst in Austin, Texas

Overview

ProSphere is seeking a EDI Business Analyst with the ability to analyze and evaluate the customer’s business information systems environment, activities and events. The candidate shall provide services to support requirements gathering development. The candidate must be able to discuss and then extract and document customer requirements for new or existing systems or applications changes. The candidate will ensure that these requests or requirements are consistent and do not contradict each other along with communicating trading partner’s business requirements to other technical staff. This is a Full-Time position located in Austin, TX.Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering, compiling and analyzing business process data as it relates to information systems and the reliant business unit information technology needs

  • Work closely with business unit customers to identify ‘as-is’ processes by collecting data and information

  • Creating alternate depictions of data to identify and highlight issues or potential issues

  • Creating and documenting ‘to-be’ process benefits in graphic, narrative and oral formats

  • Identify process steps and lead discussions related to the relevancy of process steps

  • Perform value added analysis and provide metrics to customer to allow for decisions based on resource time, cost, quality and schedule

  • Clearly summarizing findings in reports

  • Assist the customer in collecting and documenting information as input to local standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience as an EDI Functional Analyst or similar

  • Bachelor degree in Information Systems/Technology or other analytical or EDI technical discipline. (8-years of relevant experience may be substituted for education)

  • Must be able to work in high-paced Agile® environment

  • Lean or other BPM certifications desired

  • Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills are required

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction providing technical and non-technical support to multiple business units being supporting by information systems

  • Capable to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)

  • Proficiency with MS Project

  • Proficiency with MS Visio

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) experience

  • Healthcare Industry experience

  • Experience working with test plans and test cases

  • Excellent communication and written skills

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance for persons in a position of public trust conducted by the VA and Office of Personnel Management (OPM)

  • Ability to work overtime required on occasion.

  • Ability to sit at a workstation for long periods of time.

  • Able to lift, carry, move, load and unload heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
