Northrop Grumman is seeking an Entry-level Big Data Web Developer This position will be located in our Technology Services Sector in Austin, TX. Northrop Grumman is seeking a driven individual that wants to get lost in technology. The successful candidate will have a passion for research and takes pride in figuring things out.

Northrop Grumman Technology Services is a global provider of innovative, cost effective solutions. From sustainment and modernization, supply chain management, training and simulation, and high technology services, we offer a full-spectrum of support.

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Unified Monitoring Team. The Unified Monitoring (UM) team specializes in Big Data and Web Application programming. HTML, XML, and CSS are used to build our front-end interfaces. Creativity paired with these three languages are the foundation of building an unique application.

Javascript is used to enhance our advanced visuals in a way that makes every click actionable. Python is the language behind getting multiple data points into our Big Data platform in real time efficiently.

The UM team deals mostly with the unknown. A drive to research the unknown and work as a team to solve complex problems are what allows us to build leading edge applications.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Javascript and/or Python programming

Education requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or closely related field

• Basic understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle phases, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation

• Ability to relay and receive information

• Ability to collaborate in a team environment

• Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result

• U.S. Citizenship required

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Big Data Platforms: Splunk, Elastic (ELK)

• Python

• Javascript

• Web Application Programming: HTML, XML, CSS
