General Maintenance Worker
Shall maintain and operate all plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and utility systems. Maintain a good state of repair to ensure proper and efficient operations of structural and architectural components, appliance, and electrical/plumbing/heating/air conditioning systems and equipment and air compressor systems. Responsible for maintenance and repair shall assure that all facilities, structures and associated equipment and free of missing components or defects which would affect the safety or habitability of the facilities and structures or would prevent any electrical, maintenance, plumbing or structural system from functioning in accordance with design intent. Responsible for replacing doors, windows, painting, wood surfaces, wallboards, metal surfaces, Responsible for PM’s and completing them in an timely manner.
Ability to speak, read, and understands English. Requires a basic practical knowledge of several maintenance trades in keeping building woodwork in good repair; replacing electrical switches, fixtures and motors; occasional painting or touching up of structure or equipment; repairing or replacing plumbing fixtures; replacing broken panes; and HVAC operation and maintenance.
Two (2) years of recent experience within the past 5 years in operating and maintaining building equipment and systems for buildings of the approximate size and characteristic of the building(s) to be operated and maintained.
