System engineering position to support facilities systems, responsible for the sustaining, maintenance and administration of critical 24x7 systems. The System Engineer will be assigned 1 or more system modules within the EHS Infra System Operations team. You will serve in a critical role within a high-paced manufacturing environment responsible for development, implementation, and maintenance of internal system applications. You will be required to provide excellent customer support to FAB and Facilities Engineering departments as well as working closely with other System Engineers, located both locally and overseas. You must be highly motivated and have a passion to make improvements to the company’s performance, efficiency & cost reduction.
Specific Job Duties:
Manage change points within established rules and policies.
Communicate system change points and issue resolutions clearly to members in the department and internal customers in the company.
Conduct analysis across line production and systems to make recommendations to improve system reliability
Plan periodically for preventative maintenance activities and provide awareness of system performance and reliability.
Guide and give direction to vendors/technician on troubleshooting system issues
Monitoring, debugging, tracing system issues
Provide excellent customer support to Engineering departments
Ensure data source validity for accurate report results and conduct query tuning for performance improvements
Work with international (Korea) and local team members to resolve issues and ensure proper integration with other related systems.
Necessary Skills / Attributes
Strong troubleshooting skills
Must have understanding of SQL
Flexible with work hours to attend conference calls with developers in Korea required
Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle experience preferred
Knowledge of UNIX/NT administration and troubleshooting skills are plus
Fluency in Korean language is a plus
Ability to clearly communicate technical details in both verbal and written forms
Must be able to work in fast pace environment
Be able to support 24x7 manufacturing/facility
Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum # Years Required:
BS Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related major
1+ years of related experience in a professional environment
