Job Summary

The AppleCare training team is seeking a Learning Content Management Systems Lead to drive the successful implementation of a new Learning Content Management System (LCMS) that meets business needs while facilitating change management. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert on the LCMS to help define requirements, configure the application, and administer the system.

This position requires an organized and detail-oriented individual that can collaborate effectively with training content developers/development managers, IS&T, reporting, and others to ensure content is authored, tagged, and published successfully. The LCMS Lead will work closely with AppleCare training leaders to define business/localization processes, templates, workflows, and reporting requirements. They will work closely with content developers to train them on the new application and facilitate change management.

This position is based in Austin, TX.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with AppleCare training to define business requirements

• Configure LCMS application and define security roles

• Support the implementation of a new LCMS

• Work with leadership to define system reporting requirements

• Define a content taxonomy structure for AppleCare training that provides content developers with the ability to efficiently and effectively tag, locate, and reuse content and/or assets

• Create a change management strategy to ensure developers successfully transition to the new system

• Collaborate with IS&T to ensure business requirements are met

• Collaborate with developers/manager to define LCMS processes and workflows

• Collaborate with media, edit, localization, and Learning Management System (LMS) teams to ensure their unique requirements are met within the Enterprise Digital Asset Management system (eDAM) and LCMS

• Collaborate with Regional Content Leads (RCLs) to ensure the LCMS supports our Globalization needs

• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) testing during LCMS implementation phases

• Serve as the subject matter expert on the LCMS

• Train users on how to use the tool

• Support continued LCMS enhancements and drive the roadmap for the application

• Measure progress of projects within LCMS and report to management

• Stay knowledgeable about current trends in content management


Bachelor Degree, in addition to 5+ years of relevant work experience. Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
