Summary / Overview:

Gathers performance data and assesses whether or not departments are performing according to production schedules. Produces reports that evaluate plant capacity and identify areas where improvements can be implemented.

Specific Job Duties:

  • Track Production Performance, Equipment Capability Metrics and KPIs

  • Gather market demand with global supply chain group and forecasts future constraints

  • Perform periodic capacity gap analysis, (Available vs Need) Identify Bottlenecks utilizing Theory of Constraints concepts

  • Coordinate with engineer groups to improve Bottleneck capacity and improve TAT performance

  • Understand changing market demands and ensure maximum capacity using What-If scenarios

  • Benchmark global factory performance and create business processes within manufacturing

  • Lead cross-functional teams to continuously improve processes

  • Continuous communication to the organization for changing priorities and improvements needed

  • Receptive to demands that are seen to be scalable, also stable and predictable in terms of support and upgrades over the life of the product

Necessary Skills / Attributes

Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum # Years Required:

  • 4-year degree in Industrial Engineering, or related Engineering field

  • 4 years minimum experience with demonstrated success in data gathering, production & manufacturing, capacity planning, lean manufacturing, six sigma, project management

  • Semiconductor experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, Tools:

  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data and provide detail oriented solutions with speed

  • Ability to influence the organization and cross-functional teams

  • Excellent critical thinking and decision making skills; recognize 3rd & 4th order effects of a catalyst event

  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills; recognize friction points and resolve delays in material delivery

  • Experienced in Advanced MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint; SQL, VBA skills preferred

  • Ability to take a proactive & self-initiative approach to overcome challenges and achieve innovative results

  • Ability to challenge internal customers and team oriented through effective communication
