Job Description:

Good eye sight, hearing and hand-eye coordination required. Must be able to stand for up to 8 or 10 hours at a time. Must be able to bend and twist on a regular basis for the scheduled 8 or10 hour shift. Experience in (non climate controlled) warehouse environment preferred. Forklift experience preferred. Should be able to lift and carry 70 pounds on a regular basis and must successfully pass and employment physical to demonstrate they can safely perform those duties. Employees hired prior to 11/01/2010 will be grandfathered and will not need to take the employment physical.

Operate both down-stroke and horizontal baling machines in a safe manner. Load salvage metal, plastic, cardboard and other recyclables into baling machine and produce a maximum number of bales daily. Load plastic and glass into hoppers and transport to roll-offs, loading the roll-offs in a safe and efficient manner. Palletize televisions in a safe manner, maximizing load weight of each pallet; operate stretch wrap machine in a safe manner. Safely operate forklift to load bales, gaylords, or other items into buyer’s trailer, or roll-offs. Accurately weigh and manifest loads. Separate out books, metals, or other commodities for recycling, filling gaylords to maximum capacity, and properly store in warehouse. Accurately record individual production achieved each day, and turn in to supervisor weekly. Accurately separate out non-recyclables, or non-re-salable items as determined by supervisor. Meets attendance and punctuality requirements. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Works with as much speed, efficiency and accuracy as possible. Attend all scheduled meetings. Demonstrates ethics and complies with Corporate Compliance Program. Meets Mandatory Yearly Training Hours required for this position.
