Hostway Microsoft Administrator - L3 in Austin, Texas
The primary role of the Microsoft Administrator will be to administer the Microsoft Exchange Messaging System and the standard suite of Microsoft applications and technologies. The Microsoft Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and support of Exchange 2003/2007/2010, all other associated Microsoft technologies, and third party enterprise applications, including the administration of Active Directory and SharePoint.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide third level support to our customers using both phone, customer portals and escalations from second level support.
Support both Exchange and SharePoint customers.
Supervise and assist monitoring of relevant systems/applications to maintain integrity of relevant systems environments including backups.
Execute company-wide interdepartmental escalation procedures and ensure those procedures are followed in an appropriate manner.
Assist and educate Product Team and Sales team answering related technical questions regarding the various platforms.
Take initiative on mentoring and promoting technical knowledge growth and professional development of other team members.
Participate in team meetings, providing input and suggestions to further increase productivity.
Perform other duties as assigned and take on advanced responsibilities when required.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum 5 years of experience supporting and maintaining Windows operating systems and Active Directory environments (preferably larger Enterprise environments).
Advanced knowledge of the following: Exchange 2003, Exchange 2007, Exchange 2010, Windows 2003, Windows 2008 and Windows 2012.
Intermediate knowledge of MySQL, MSSQL, WSS2, WSS3, SharePoint Foundation, TMG, ISA, BES4.1, BES5 and Powershell.
Must have experience migrating Exchange 2003, Exchange 2007, Exchange 2010, WSS2, WSS3 and Sharepoint Foundation.
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills to work with fellow associates remotely.
Must have strong problem solving skills.
Able to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
Able to work evenings and weekends when required, sometimes with little advance notice.
