Amazon.com Operations Technology Senior Systems Integration Manager in Austin, Texas

Amazon Operations Technology is looking for a customer focused, detail oriented, experienced Senior Manager to lead a newly formed Systems Integration team. The Systems Integration team will design, deploy, manage and patch varying internal, external and partner systems. Amazon is innovating on multiple fronts in technology used to fulfill and deliver customer orders. New systems range from robotic controllers, smart electrical metering, material handling equipment and device management. We need a team leader who is up to the task to improve the technology and infrastructure related to delivering for customers. You will be responsible for both internal and external solutions and will partner closely with the other Operations Technology teams to ensure stability, security and scalability.
You will need to define, prioritize and plan the resources and technical requirements needed for programs to be delivered on time. Together with your team, you will write and review business cases, perform supporting research and analysis, write specifications, and drive the product development schedule from design to release. Building with information security in mind at the start of every initiative is essential. As part of a global organization you will collaborate regularly with peers around the world.
Successful candidates in this role will be curious, constantly learning, and highly motivated. You will need to have the ability to influence others with clear and precise oral and written communication skills. Sound business judgment, analytical thinking and negotiation skills will be needed. We are looking for people with a track record of delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality. On the technical side, successful candidates will have strong virtualization or cloud computing fundamentals, understand Information Security best practices, and have familiarity with Windows Group Policy Design for multiple business units at the scale of millions of devices.
7+ years of technical management overseeing system engineers, and/or support personnel.
Proven experience in building and leading engineering teams
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Design and Architecture
Demonstrated Networking Fundamentals (Internet Protocol, firewall management, VPN, etc.)
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
AWS experience including Directory Services and Workspaces
Hands on Windows System Engineering background
Linux, Mac OS and other operating systems experience
Industrial or Warehousing experience, include managing Material Handling Equipment
