General Description

Summary / Overview:

Primary responsibilities include in-fab tool improvement and sustaining of the AMAT Centura chamber tools. Support daily operations by ensuring quality product flows without interruption. Project management will be a daily activity as well as immediate response to tool quality events. On call required as the main point of contact for any tool ownership needs from the Diffusion Operations team.

Specific Job Duties:

  • Open Path Management: Regularly monitor inventory and open paths. Feedback to supervisor and area lead(s) to ensure resources are allocated according to factory priorities.

  • Pull Point Management: Attend shift operations meeting, and communicate any Diffusion issues to the factory and any factory issues to Diffusion Leadership.

  • Perform Daily FDC Trend Monitoring: Identify WOW (Worst of Worst) tools and BOB (Best of Best) tools and verify actions are taken to drive continuous improvement.

  • Track and Close Urgent Tool Interlock or Faults: Verify corrective actions taken are correct and effective.

  • Disposition Hold Lots: Any product flagged for abnormal defect or thickness data must be evaluated and dispositioned in a timely manner. Basic investigation of root cause, including material, equipment, and process changes should be performed.

  • Troubleshoot and optimize process related issues

  • Utilize TPM concepts and LEAN tools to implement systematic solutions for long-term prevention of issues

  • Drive operational improvements in SOPs: Regularly audit SOPs and OCAPs for completeness and correctness. Interface with office engineers and fab technicians to evolve procedures.

  • Perform 8D reports: Verify root cause is identified and corrective and preventative measures are implemented.
