Ketrais looking for a Program Managerwho will work closely with our engineering and operations teams to help in the design, development, and shipment of innovative LED lighting products. The candidate will help lead the cross-functional teams – mechanical engineering, industrial design, optical engineering, electrical engineering, firmware and software – to ensure that world-class products are launched on schedule.
This role reports to Engineering Department.
Manages projects from initiation through delivery including the generating of schedules and resource plans, monitoring progress, managing change control, managing risks and issues.
Provides technical guidance and overall risk analysis for products. Identifies and dives into the top issues with the associated engineering teams.
Develops, maintains, communicates, and escalates key focus points and next steps with engineering and management.
Fearless leader capable of working with highly skilled teams to identify risks, scope solutions, reach team consensus and execute plans as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in order to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions and communicate to all team members, including executive management.
Formalizes final acceptance for the project by ensuring that the delivered products and services comply with the agreed deliverables list, agreed scope, and organizational procedures.
Manages internal customer interactions to include: establishing mutually agreed milestones, managing action items and conducting customer status meetings.
Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess a variety of complementary skills. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill and/or abilities required
Technology related Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar plus 5+ years of related experience in project management.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
Highly experienced in using project management tools like Microsoft Project or Planview.
Experience with high volume, high quality products that pass all standards of reliability.
Prior experience working in a high-growth company environment is coveted.
Strong ownership, great leader, team worker, and ability to capture the big picture quickly and focus on key points. The right person is not political and recognizes that the success of the group is a reflection on their contribution to the team.
Must be organized, detail oriented and have great communication and problem solving skills.
