Fresenius Medical Center Provider Data Specialist in Austin, Texas

PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Fresenius Health Partners (FHP) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fresenius Medical Care North America (FMCNA), the world's largest integrated provider of products and services for individuals undergoing dialysis because of chronic kidney failure. FHP improves the health and outcomes of patients with end stage renal disease (ESRD) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) through intensive care coordination and disease management services. FHP’s clients include commercial and government-sponsored health plans, accountable care organizations, and other alternative payment and risk-bearing entities. The Provider Data Specialist is responsible adding, maintaining, and correcting health plan provider data in order to maintain integrity and compliance. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Enters and maintains provider demographic information changes (tax identification numbers, new addresses, etc.) and resolves identified problems by working with Credentialing Department, Configuration Department, and Utilization Management Department to update system information. Assists in obtaining correctly completed credentialing applications and supporting documents in coordination with dedicated credentials staff and as may be directed by department leadership. Communicates via fax/email with providers quarterly to determine if there are any provider demographic changes. Maintains tracking/reporting of progress in order to provide status to management. Successfully completes special projects related to job as assigned by manager. Has contact with sensitive patient information (HIPAA) Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
