Program Specialist Services professionals provide project-based support services within centers. These professionals support the delivery and execution of our key projects with specialized services.

Provider Relations Recruitment and Retention Representative: Responsible for locating and promoting potential providers to participate in Traditional Medicaid, Texas Health Steps (THSteps), Case Management for Children and Women , Family Planning, DME/Pharmacy and the Children with Special Health-care Needs (CSHCN) Services Program. This position also focuses on retention efforts to sustain existing relationships with enrolled providers. The position requires independent thinking, problem resolution with strong organizational capabilities. This individual exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. This individual will need to have a strong familiarity and drive to improve their community and surrounding areas. This role will require the individual to feel comfortable presenting to various sized audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Initiate calls to new providers targeting specific program needs and target areas in the State. Recruit providers not currently enrolled in Medicaid. Recruit provider that currently have a low participation. Promote and recruit for THSteps Medical and Dental, CSHCN, Family Planning and other services Promote and recruit providers to use web based applications such as electronic claim submission and the Provider Enrollment Portal. Deliver presentations for professional organizations and teaching schools. Participate in community activities Must Reside within Region 11 South Texas as per the Health and Human Services Commission One of the following Counties: Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, Webb, Willacy, Zapata Qualifications: Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or High school Diploma and 4 additional years of work experience. Minimum of 1 year of Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care and/or Health Plan Managed Care experience. Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience Must reside in or be willing to relocate on your own to the Region 11 Area Minimum of 2 years of Microsoft Office experience Preferred:

Working knowledge of Medicaid, Medicaid Manage Care and /or Health Plan Managed Care

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Microsoft Products

Ability to self-monitor


Public Speaking skills

Ability to work in a fast pace environment
