We are seeking aQuality and Reliability Engineerto maintain all Ketra lighting and control products through the entire product development cycle and into production, and will greatly influence quality/reliability across the company through interactions with internal engineering groups and cross-functional teams consisting of design, marketing, product test engineering, program management and supply chain.
This role reports to Director of Operations.
Integrate industry best practices into the Product Development Process and define and execute quality and reliability requirements for deliverables, including defining reliability qualification plan/requirements and derating reliability stress conditions to application use cases.
Assess each product through the product development process to ensure appropriate quality and reliability in our products when they are released to production.
Responsible for overall Quality and Workmanship for contract manufacturer (CM) factory output by implementing proper controls and quality checks as required.
Participate in Engineering and Technical design, production, and quality issues and implement changes as defined.
Design and implement process monitoring methods at CM facilities to insure CM is under control. This includes formal process and product audits and sampling.
Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Insure that Ketra, and contract manufacturers, are compliant with government regulations and standards.
Provide product and test method training to CMs to insure Ketra’s processes and procedures are followed.
Participate in New Product Introduction Teams.
Own the development programs from a reliability and quality standpoint – guide and influence the cross-functional development teams to utilize best practices, properly assess the reliability of products as they are developed, and continually improve corporate reliability processes and methods.
Technically assess reliability issues as they arise in development through reliability modeling and use condition derating in partnership with design, apps, and test functions.
Assess design test coverage, test program coverage, etc. to ensure DPPM at release to production meets customer/market requirements.
Lead qual failure and issue debug efforts and be able to clearly and confidently communicate plans, results, and progress to challenging customers world-wide.

Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess a variety of complementary skill sets. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required.
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related science.
Experience in luminaire manufacturing or high-tech hardware (electromechanical systems).
Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese is a plus.
Preferred skills: Dealing with complexity; communicating effectively with others; self-motivated; handling problems with incomplete information; presentation skills especially technical information; PCB Assembly methods, equipment and procedures; PCBA testing and troubleshooting; machining/casting/extrusion & injection molding; manufacturing quality; Project Management skills; Knowledge of UL Standards a plus; ISO-9001 Quality Methods
