ProSphere Tek SAFe Product Owner in Austin, Texas

Overview

ProSphere is seeking a SAFe Product Owner to join our growing team. As a SAFe Product Owner, you will serve as the Customer proxy and will be responsible for working with all product stakeholders, including other Product Owners to define and prioritize Stories in the team backlog. The Product Owner will ensure that the solution effective addressed program priorities. This includes developing agile guidance artifacts, creating standards and processes, and training/mentoring Product Managers.This is a full-time position located in Austin, TX. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Agile processes and practices for Agile adoption across a large government agency

  • Work with Agile Programs to identify gaps in Agile delivery, and facilitate improvement

  • Develop an Agile training curriculum and design transformation workshops.

  • Lead Agile training and workshops for contractor and government staff.

  • Facilitate government transformation of organizational governance functions to enable the adoption of Agile processes and practices by the development team

  • Guide and coach the team and organization to follow Agile/Scrum practices

  • Provide coaching and guidance for teams to become self-organized.

  • Responsible for supporting and coaching the Product Owners on Agile/Scrum practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in information systems or related business discipline and 5 years related experience required and 1 ½ - 2 years of experience as a SAFe Product Manager preferred

  • 8 additional years can be substituted for education requirements

  • One or more Expert-level Agile certification(s) - SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) etc. - Scaled Agile Framework experience preferred

  • Experience transforming large, government programs to Agile preferred

  • Experience implementing and continually improving Agile principles and practices, and coaching the customer on the recommended approach preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Technical background with a deep understanding of modern Technical Architecture and DevOps practices preferred

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance for persons in a position of public trust conducted by the VA and Office of Personnel Management (OPM)

  • Ability to work overtime required on occasion.

  • Ability to sit at a workstation for long periods of time.

  • Able to lift, carry, move, load and unload heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
