The Senior Director of DRG Therapy Development will lead a clinical and market development organization to achieve therapy adoption, market penetration and sales goals as assigned for St. Jude Medical Chronic Pain Therapies Division. This position will lead a team of DRG Therapy Development Specialists and will be responsible for developing and implementing targeted training and therapy adoption plans to meet revenue goals and therapy penetration goals for the business. This position is responsible for hiring, coaching and developing DRG therapy experts and market development personnel, supporting these field personnel with efficient and effective leadership. This position will serve as a member of the St. Jude Medical Chronic Pain Therapies Leadership team.
Develop regional strategic plans to meetrevenue, profitability, and market penetration goals, ensuring collaborationand alignment with Regional Sales Directors.
Drive regional performance by ensuringalignment and executing on critical sales and service strategies and tactics.
Develop programs that generate additional sales revenue andDRG Therapy procedure penetration in US by running initiatives targeted atincreasing referrals of eligible patients to implanting physicians.
Collaborate with the field team to identify strategies toincrease referrals of appropriate chronic pain patients to implantingphysicians for DRG implants and overcome barriers that are restricting thenational growth and adoption of the therapy.
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to fieldsales and support staff through field visits, observation and measurement ofresults.
Overseetraining strategies and market development plans for the region to ensure thesales and service teams have the skills and tools to drive therapy adoption andrevenue targets.
Leadeffective talent management strategies within the region, includingimplementation of high quality talent acquisition and talent developmentskills.
Developsand maintains relationships with new and existing customers, KOLs and industryleaders.
Maintainsunderstanding of neuromodulation technology in a competitive environment.
Effectivelymonitor and control expenses for the DRG Therapy Development team.
Buildand maintain effective relationships with St. Jude Medical and competitivecustomers.
Ensurethe quality policy/system is planned, understood, implemented and maintained byensuring compliance within the department.
Ensuredepartmental compliance as well as appropriate departmental resources areavailable to effectively maintain the quality system (people, facilities,tools, and training).
Contacts,visits and interests clients and potential clients in the Company’s productsand addresses any client questions and concerns.
Collectsand studies information about new and existing products and monitors competitorsales, prices and products.
Mayattend trade shows where new products and technologies are showcased and conferencesto meet other sales representatives and clients and discuss new productdevelopments.
Remainscurrent on developments in field(s) of expertise.
Works with cellular phone, personal computer and iPad and product line technology. Operates a motor vehicle for trips to various company sites and outside vendor, field, and customer locations; and to commute to various airports for airline travel.
Work environment varies from office/field-including physician office procedure rooms and hospital operation rooms/personal residence with a low to moderate noise level to a variety of conditions caused by travel requirements such as customer offices, research labs, hospitals, hotels, use of automobiles, commercial travel, weather, etc.
Job activities require mobility and stamina involving a significant amount of walking, standing and sitting; manual dexterity to carry, reach, manipulate, handle and demonstrate company products as well as to write, telephone, use computer keyboard, etc.; stooping and kneeling to pick up and carry equipment; and the ability to communicate clearly. Lifting requirements are normally up to 25 pounds but may exceed that on occasion. Requires clear vision and good depth perception.
3-5years of successful sales leadership experience preferably within medicaldevice industry.
Wellorganized, capable of juggling multiple projects and accustomed to tightdeadlines.
Excellentpersonal computer skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.
Ability to work in a highly matrixed andgeographically diverse business environment.
Ability to work within a team and as an individualcontributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Ability to leverage and/or engage others toaccomplish projects.
Strong verbaland written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiplelevels in the organization.

Experience with directquota attainment and performance metrics.
Scheduleflexibility for case coverage and client meetings after hours and onweekends.
Ability to travel a minimum of 25% ofthe time.
MBA and/or multi-product/therapy salesmanagement experience.
8 plus years medical device sales experience.
Priority will be given to candidates who can thinkstrategically and execute tactically.
Experience in the Neuromodulation fieldtherapy areas.
Demonstrated market development skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence and worksuccessfully with cross-functional partners and customers
Ability to motivate and sustain highperformance in a clinical sales, therapy development organization
Proven exceptional sales results over anextended period of time
