Red River Storage Engineer in Austin, Texas

The Storage Engineer will serve as the supporting Storage Administrator in the design, implementation, and management of the storage environment on a 7 year Multisite contract.
The Storage Engineers work with the Storage Architecture Staff supporting an Enterprise Storage and Storage on Demand infrastructure; performing design, tiring, allocation, installation, configuration and maintenance.
Provide regular support to Storage Architects and assist with documentation
Troubleshoot, install, and configure servers, storage, virtual environments and other data related equipment
Drive storage strategies and recommend industry best practices for storage solutions, provide proactive storage forecasting, design and deploy effective storage solutions, research new and emerging technologies
Monitor and improve system performance including reporting development
Maintain industry certifications as required
Travel is expected at 10% to customer sites as required
Requires comprehensive understanding of IT processes and best practices related to backup and recovery, and SAN technology.
Working experience and knowledge of the following:
EMC products; VPLEX, VNX, DPA, Data Domain and RecoverPoint. Any experience with VMAX or Unity is a plus.

CISCO MDS 9500 Directors
EMC Performance Manager
SAN load balancing/multi-pathing software (PowerPath)
HBA configuration (Emulex and QLogic)
EMC Solutions Enabler (SYMCLI) commands
SYMCLI Configuration Manager and Celerra CLI commands
EMC TimeFinder Family (Mirror, Clone & Snap)
EMC Replication Manager
Windows 2000/2003 and/or Linux/AIX OS
Experience configuring and troubleshooting FC, FCoE, FCIP protocols.
Experience performing assessments in support of Server Virtualization, Desktop Virtualization and storage proposals using tools such as Dell DPACK, VMware Capacity Planner, and EMC Toolsets.
FEAF desired (Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework)
