Job Description:

3M is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Manager in our Electronics & Energy Business Group located in Austin, TX. Here, you go.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Facilitates the implementation of CMD’s supply chain vision and direction.

  • Drives a Customer First mindset throughout Divisional supply chain organization

  • Drives global improvement to Divisional service and cash metrics

  • Manage the CMD US Demand and Supply Planning teams and processes

  • Identifies, defines, and implements improvements to supply chain processes and performance, incorporating lean principles and cycle time reduction strategies.

  • Provides training and coaching on various supply chain processes such as inventory management, non-working inventory management, capacity planning, and scheduling

  • Partners with Business team to improve demand planning

  • Collaborates with Manufacturing team to improve capacity planning and supply consistency

  • Collaborate with global plants and supply chain teams, including COE’s, to drive global supply chain improvement

  • Provides direct supervision to assigned employees through leadership, coaching, training and development, allocating work assignments, review of progress in achieving objectives, managing employee compensation, performance appraisals, diversity, disability, all relevant employee data, etc. Understands and enforces corporate/location policies and procedures. Takes appropriate action to address policy violations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a business, management or technical discipline from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of seven (7) combined years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations, and/or Manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience in a Supply Chain organization

  • APICS/CPIM certification (American Production and Inventory Control Society - Certified Production & Inventory Management)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written); including persuasion skills

  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to effectively deliver key operational objectives effecting Service and Cash metrics

Location: Austin, TX

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/international

Relocation: Is authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
