Performsexecutive, managerial, professional, technical and non-exempt recruitingincluding college/university recruiting. Partners with line managers to createinternal and external recruiting methods and procedures to meet businessrequirements. Oversees the identification of potential candidates,interviewing, selection and placement of candidates for reassignment, promotionand external-hire-for-employment. Ensures recruiting strategy, methodology, andprocesses are aligned with business needs, talent strategy and desired employeecapabilities/skills. May contribute to the design and placement of employmentadvertising. Responsible for relations with outside employment agencies andrecruiters. Ensures compliance with all legal aspects of recruiting function.
Consults with corporate and siteoperations to ensure alignment between recruiting needs and recruiting strategy
Partners with corporate and sitemanagers to obtain and confirm search requests that clearly indicate keyresponsibilities, requirements, environmental conditions, compensation, targetaudience (internal and/or external), timeframes, etc.
Performs comprehensive targetedresearch strategy for qualified candidates via internal databases, job boards,schools, professional associations, business contacts with other companies anddiscussions with other research personnel
Serves as the recruiting liaisonfor company sponsored committees and initiatives such as college recruitmentprograms
Researches, assembles, analyzesand makes recommendations regarding recruiting metrics
Interviews and screens candidatesto ensure their qualifications meet open positions
Conducts skills testing and officeinterviews to measure capability and aptitude
Oversees all pre-employmentrequirements (e.g., background investigations including reference checks, drugtesting, physical exams) to ensure compliance and proper applicant trackingflow and records maintenance
Collaborates with other HRfunctions on recruiting issues (e.g., new hire requirements, compensation, etc)
Completes the hiring process bydrafting and gaining sign-off on offer letters
Presents job opportunities toqualified candidates and negotiates job offers for the most qualifiedcandidate(s)
Coordinates with the HR Manager toensure all new hiring processing takes place on the employee's first day ofwork.
May provide functional guidance,advice and/or training to less-experienced recruiting staff.
