IBM Watson Health Cloud Engineer in Austin, Texas

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Delivery Engineer.Candidates will be expected to be responsible for administering the compute infrastructure of the for the GxP cloud offering (IBM Watson Health Cloud for Life Sciences Compliance). This includes understanding life science industry and GxP regulations and quality management processes for these offerings. Some of the responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Administering the operating system, middleware, SCCD, AET, monitoring, and OpenStack components according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents for operational support of the GxP cloud offering.

  • Perform problem determination and resolution of customer issues in the GxP Cloud Offering, providing proper ticket handling, communications, status, and escalation as appropriate.

  • Perform approved changes to the GxP cloud based the documented change control SOPs.

  • Actively compete initial and ongoing required training for GxP cloud as determined by training coordinator.

  • Provide timely response to SCCD tickets that require delivery actions.

  • Ensure that the operating environment remains validated by executing SOPs with accuracy.

  • Mitigating risks, resolving issues, and remediation audit findings in a timely manner.

A minimum of 2 years of related experience with the following:

  • Demonstrated experience working with OpenStack and VMWare and/or SCCD products.

  • Experience in IT operations or IT Systems Engineering.

  • Exposure working in a cloud services environment.

  • Proven understanding of following SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) in an operational environment.
