CTG's premier global client in Baytown, TX, has a 1 year assignment for a Turnaround PCT Planner! First step in this Turnaround is planning from November 2016 to end of July 2017. Then moving into execution, the role will change into Construction Supervisor in the E&I area until end of November 2017. In that case, availability to work OT is required during the TA period September / October 2017.
Major responsibilities of this position are:
Collaborate with production/operations to determine I&E work needed to be performed
Reads and interprets prints and drawing to facilitate development for detailed job packages
Formulate job plans showing sequence of steps, manpower requirements, man-hour requirements and any materials or equipment needed
Supports the PCT Lead and Planning lead implementing the "TA Planning and Scheduling Premise"
Identifies outside resource requirements/availability and makes recommendations
Aligned with PCT Lead, might participate in the validation of the job packages
Provide BOM as needed to support TA job activities
Assist in Turnaround scheduling
Clarification of PCT job packages to contractors if required
Can work as a PCT CMC or supports PCT CMC and QC/QA during execution
Knowledge of P&IDs and system diagrams required
Knowledge and understanding of piping and instrumentation specifications required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools, specifically MS Word and Excel
Preferred candidate comes with Construction Management experience in the field of E&I (electrical & instrumentation)
Candidates with lack of Construction Management experience will be considered
Planning experience in Turnarounds or normal maintenance is required
Turnaround experience will be positively valued
This position pays on a W2 hourly basis (no C2C or 1099's).
