Encompass Home Health Home Health Aide - PRN in Beaumont, Texas
Our Home Health Aides assist with various personal care issues including changing bedding, changing clothing, bathing patients, and helping with hygienic routines such as brushing teeth, washing hair and keeping wound dressings clean and dry. Our Home Health Aides may assist patients' family members in caring for their relatives by instructing them on how to go about performing basic health-care routines. Home Health Aides consult on a regular basis with their supervising registered nurses in terms of keeping team members apprised of our patients' progression and the families' needs.
Education, Skills & Experience (Essential): Must meet one of the following requirements:
Have a minimum of 1 year full time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility)
Have 1 year experience within the last 5 years in direct client care in a home health or hospice setting.
Have satisfactorily completed a training and competency evaluation program that complies with Federal and State regulations.
Registered and listed in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of employment.
Must hold a certificate as a CNA in the following states; Oklahoma, Idaho, Oregon, Nevada and Connecticut. Must hold a Home health Aide certificate in Kansas.
Be a nursing student who has demonstrated competency in proving basic nursing skills with submitted documentation from the director/dean of the school of nursing (Texas and Arkansas only).
Must be competent with technology or willing to learn required skills.
The ability to recognize the needs of people and to maintain good relationships.
Capacity to make meaningful observations and communicate them to the supervisor.
Must be organized and detail-oriented.
Must possess a valid state driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
Must be able to drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions
