Direct Sales Customer Service Representative


TX, Bedford


Individual should have a firm grasp on all processes within their scope of the call center, direct sales team and have knowledge of most all operations. Their responsibilities are between the call center representative and supervisor. Additional duties include assuming the responsibility of the supervisor should the need arise.

  • Mentor and coach sales representatives.

  • Take calls as needed and be the point of contact for any escalations.

  • Additional duties based on management discretion.

  • Provide coaching and team building skills with the staff.

  • Assist Call Center Supervisors with day to day management of call center team

  • Assume supervisory role in the absence of the Call Center Supervisor

  • Adapt and master multiple new/existing sales programs within company

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • College degree or some college preferred

  • Property & Casualty Insurance License Preferred

  • 3+ years of sales/customer service (call center environment preferred)

  • Shown skills and/or experience as a team lead or senior level customer service

  • Ability to think independently and make sound decisions pertaining to service and customer satisfaction

  • Exceptional listening, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Mastery of the English language

  • Ability to resolve conflict and negotiate

  • Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, etc)

  • Experience with the General Motors CSR website & 360Portal
