The charming town of Borger prides itself on being a family friendly community. Home to just over 15,000 people the town has plenty to offer! With opportunities to fish, hike, scuba dive or head out to the beautiful Lake Meredith, not to mention being only 40 minutes away from Amarillo! Our Borger plant produces both ammonia and urea and as of 2015 is currently undergoing an expansion. With 90 employee positions and more being brought in for the expansion our Borger facility has great opportunities!

Reporting to the Director of Rail Logistics, the Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for managing the shipping team responsible for the coordination and processing of shipments from the plant to meet all internal and external demands.
Coordinate the required Logistics functions (rail car billing, ordering/release, etc.) in an effective and timely manner for shipments in accordance with Agrium’s operational/marketing plan. Identify, address and resolve challenges as possible, while escalating those as necessary and appropriate.
Daily coordination of rail and truck loadout plans with the loadout foreman and loadout crews, in order to meet shipping requirements
Establishing shipping schedule; monitoring/maintaining volume commitment splits. Daily coordination with each railway for service plans/needs/changes. Monitoring empty railcar flow; review and approve railroad ancillary charge invoices
Monitoring of product inventory and daily product continuity to ensure alignment between forecasted demand and forecasted production
Participate in weekly operational meetings with product, site, planning and carrier personnel where operational challenges will be identified and addressed.
Other duties as requested, such as special projects, data analysis, etc. Adapting to, accepting, and advocating change that continuously improves Agrium’s safety-first culture

Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills

High school diploma
CITT or other designation preferred
Minimum 5 years in either truck or rail in a manufacturing environment
Excellent decision making and problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills and experience dealing with both internal and external clients at varying organizational levels
Self-starter, and able to work with minimal supervision and work well in a team environment
Analytical thinking skills
Excellent accuracy, analytical, mathematical and organizational skills
Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task; ability to stay focused in an extremely busy environment
Ability to be collaborative and work in a team environment
Ability to work under dealing pressure
Availability and flexibility to work overtime shifts as required (weekends, evenings)
Possess a high level of professionalism
