The charming town of Borger prides itself on being a family friendly community. Home to just over 15,000 people the town has plenty to offer! With opportunities to fish, hike, scuba dive or head out to the beautiful Lake Meredith, not to mention being only 40 minutes away from Amarillo! Our Borger plant produces both ammonia and urea and as of 2015 is currently undergoing an expansion. With 90 employee positions and more being brought in for the expansion our Borger facility has great opportunities!

Reporting to the Production Superintendent, the Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing shift personnel in the optimization of plant operations, Ammonia production and product loading. Lead and enforce safe work practices in all operating and plant activities by following Life Critical Programs and our Tenets of Operations.
Knowledge of all plant Safety rules and regulations, and supervises strict adherence to all policies and procedures.
Responsible for key EH&S programs related to the Operations department and across other departments.
Able to communicate in an open and honest fashion, treating others with respect and integrity.
Supervise the activities of 9 operations personnel as well as being the responsible person for maintenance activities in the process area.
Supervise operations and routine maintenance of equipment.
Recommends equipment changes and revisions to production methods for the reduction of cost, improvement of quality or control of loss.
Actively review plant quality performance and exercises direct control over those personnel engaged in manufacturing to achieve and maintain product quality.
Plan work in advance, measure performance and maintain records.
Conduct on the job safety training for new employees.
Supervise employees to prevent unsafe acts and unsafe operation conditions, in the use of Operational Risk Management and Safe plan of action processes.
Operate a shift in a manner to comply with Plant, Local, State and Federal rules and regulations.

Preferred to possess a four year college degree of applied or applicable sciences.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a supervisor in a production facility.
Able to communicate with direct reports, peers and superiors.
Computer skills, must have basic computer skills and the ability to learn new operating systems. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience with SAP a plus.
