McKesson is seeking a Senior Accountant for US Pharma’s Accounting Center of Excellence.
This position is responsible for various general ledger procedures, including month end close, journal entry and account reconciliation preparation, variance analysis, and internal reporting. This role will support group deliverables and compliance with external auditors, internal SOX requirements and internal audit. This position requires contract review and analysis. This role supports multiple business units across multiple locations; strong communication skills will be necessary to support multiple internal customers. This role will be challenged to seek, propose, and drive process improvements across its areas of responsibilities.
5+ years accounting experience
3-5 years general ledger accounting experience
SAP or other large ERP experience
Strong experience with reporting and variance analysis
Strong analytical skills in reviewing trend data and exception recognition
Strong experience creating and analyzing large amounts of data
Strong verbal and written communication skill
Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel (v-lookups, pivots, functions)
Ability to engage and influence multi-level staff up to executive management
Thorough knowledge and understanding of US GAAP principles and internal control environments
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Previous public accounting experience preferred
MS Access, SQL or other database experience
Contract interpretation and analysis experience
Experience working in a team environment
Process improvement exposure preferred
Adaptable to changing environment/technology
4-year degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience AND must have CPA or must be scheduled to sit for it before the end of December, 2016. No exceptions on this point; thank you.
