The Baylor Family Medicine Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner evaluates, plans, and provides care for patients in consultation with and under direct supervision of attending Physician. The Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner performs clinical procedures under direction of the attending Physician and according to approved protocols. Our Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioners initiate and change orders for tests and patient care based on condition of patient and approval of Physician. Our Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioners develop and maintain active practice in facilities.

Supported by HealthTexas Provider Network (HTPN) and Baylor Health Care System (BHCS) the Baylor Community Care program designs, implements, and operates innovative strategies that increase access to health services, provide high-quality care and improve health outcomes for medically underserved populations served by Baylor. The Baylor Community Care strategy includes a network of HTPN-operated or managed primary care clinics and supporting programs which target underserved patients from the community and Baylor hospitals following discharge. Today, BHCS and HTPN operate nine Baylor community care clinics across the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex

Health Texas Provider Network, formed in 1994, has grown to become one of the most effective physician-directed patient-centered organizations in the nation. Approximately sixteen hundred people are employed in our organization, including more than 500 physicians practicing in 156 locations. Patient visits in FY10 surpassed 1.3 million, including more than 95,000 new patients. Our practice is comprised of 57 primary care centers, 69 specialty care centers including 9 psychiatric medicine centers and 3 pulmonology critical care centers, 7 hospitalists programs, 23 specialty satellite clinics including 12 liver disease outreach centers, 4 senior health centers, and a family practice residency program.

Current National Certification required
Current Texas RN Licensure required
Current Texas APRN License required
Graduate of a formal accredited education program required
2 years of experience in Family Practice setting preferred
Valid AHA CPR and DEA required
Schedule is Monday-Thursday, 8a-5p
