Position Summary Information

Job Summary

The Administrative Coordinator I, under general supervision, provides administrative support for a unit or specialized activity.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years of related experience in office administration.

Preferred Education and Experience

Three or more years of administrative experience.

Required Special Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database programs. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to plan and organize effectively. Keyboarding skills. Able to communicate well in English.

Detailed Job Duties

Duties Performed

Performs related work as required; performs other duties as assigned.

Duties Performed

Handle One Health communications appropriately. Prepare program correspondence materials, reports and presentations. Maintain online materials including website, Facebook, and other modalities.

Duties Performed

Support and coordinate the One Health programs and events (i.e., Campus Council meetings, visits, workshops, etc.). Apply, interpret and communicate University policies and procedures and serve as a resource for such. Assures the confidentiality of mail, correspondences and reports.

Develop, evaluate and ensure adherence to office procedures. Maintain office supplies and equipment. Manage and track office budget and expenses. Evaluates and develops procedures and methods for process improvement, administrative changes, or new initiatives. Provide agendas and staffing assistance for meetings. Prepare travel requests, travel arrangements, and expense reports for Assistant Dean and invited guest.

Duties Performed

Maintain One Health records and databases. Capture, analyze and summarize One Health research, educational and outreach programs (i.e., presentations, publications, grants submitted, grants awarded, number of faculty, staff and students participating, etc.).

Support grant funding opportunities that include grant-writing, preparation grant proposals and revisions, handle financial activities as required by institutional financial units.
