The Community Liaison is an essential member of the hospital team and reports directly to the Director of Business Development. This position acts as a liaison between the hospital and the professionals in the community. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing relationships and generating referrals with professionals such as physicians, therapists, Hospital ERs, schools, churches and civic groups, area employers, and other healthcare and human service providers. The candidate must conduct 4-5 scheduled appointments per day and feel comfortable with cold calling and overcoming obstacles. Electronic documentation of sales calls and accurate reporting are a critical part of the position. The candidate will also be responsible for creating and working from a strategic plan, planning and attending programs and events, assisting the Director in positioning the hospital's products and services favorably in the healthcare market. Candidate must uphold the organization's ethics, professional and customer service standards. Qualifications Requirements of this Position: The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelors degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience. In addition, a minimum 2 years experience in healthcare business development/ marketing environment with measurable business development results, and a knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles preferred. Licensed clinicians and RN's with psychiatric experience are a plus. Special consideration will be given to those with previous Medik or similar behavioral healthcare financial software experience. The selected candidate must be able and willing to work flexible hours, including, evenings, early mornings, and/or weekends.
