HCA, Hospital Corporation of America MRI Technologist in Conroe, Texas


Under the direction of the CT/MRI Supervisor, Manager of Medical Imaging, Director of Oncology Services and Medical Imaging, and Staff Radiologists, the MRI Technologist is responsible to safely and proficiently perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures and related patient care according to, government regulations, physician orders, policies and procedures of the Medical Imaging Department, and policies and procedures of the hospital.

This position will be responsible for the medical imaging and related care of patients ages:

· Infancy Birth to Eighteen (18) Months · Toddlers Eighteen (18) Months to 3 Years · Preschool Age 3 to Age 6 · School Age Age 6 to Age 12 · Adolescent Age 12 to Age 18 · Young Adult Age 18 to Age 40 · Middle Age Age 40 to Age 65 · Older Adult Age 65 and Over


  1. Current MRI registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible (or) registry in another medical imaging modality with acceptable education and training in MRI.

  2. Appropriate MRI imaging experience and demonstrated competency as determined by the Department Director and Medical Director.

  3. CPR Certification.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 1. Associates, Diploma or BSRT degree in Radiologic Technology 2. Previous experience in MRI in a clinic or hospital setting is preferred.

LICENSURE AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED 1. Current registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) 1. Advanced certification in MRI required within 6 months of employment 2. Current licensure by the Texas Department of Health as an MRT 3. Current BLS from American Heart Association
