Both the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Emergency Department are Level III services - providing higher levels of care that are not readily available in many regions between Dallas and Houston. The recently opened and expanded Intensive Care and Cardiac Care Units provide state-of-the-art technology and monitoring for as many as 36 patients at a time. Conroe Regional Medical Centeris currently looking for aNurse Tech (CNA) – Medical/Surgical/Telemetry.
* Under the general direction of the Unit Supervisor and the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and a Licensed Vocational Nurse for the Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Unit, the Nursing Assistant provides a variety of patient care activities and accommodative services to the adolescent, young adult, middle adult, and older adult patients admitted for medical/surgical/ problems.
* The Nursing Assistant supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff and a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse pursuant to the mission and objectives of the hospital. * The Nursing Assistant will appropriately communicate with physicians, co-workers, volunteers, other hospital departments, and patient family members according to the standards of behavior.
* The Nursing Assistant must be able to assess his/her learning needs to enhance personal and professional development. * The Nursing Assistant will increase knowledge and skills related to patient care by attending workshops, formal classes, seminars and inservices. * Actual duties and responsibilities may vary depending on assigned area and shift.
_Qualifications:_ * Completion of Nurse Aid Program * Certification with the State of Texas preferred. * Current BCLS course completion (American Heart Association Health Care Provider required).
