Montgomery County Hospital District Supply Chain Manager in Conroe, Texas
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for coordinating the activities of the Supply Chain Department in support of the department’s mission of providing efficient operations for the District. This includes uniforms, office/station supplies, medical equipment/supplies and disaster related equipment/supplies when needed. The position is responsible for purchase, warehouse operations and distribution systems of all products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Create, maintain and manage to department budget
Develop staff through training, education and timely feedback for ongoing performance management and employee growth.
Create, implement and hold staff accountable to department and organization policies and procedures.
Identify, track, analyze, create and report action plans for departmental quality metrics and risk mitigation.
Establish and model a service oriented culture that supports the organizational values.
Provide administrative support to the Chief Financial Officer in the form of reports, budgets, supply utilization analysis and capital expenditure management.
Review, evaluate and approve all purchase orders at the manager’s level.
Review, evaluate and make recommendations for approval/denial of all requests for non-stock purchases prior to procurement.
Maintain good interdepartmental and intradepartmental relationships by providing the highest level of services, management assistance and open communication.
Interface directly with all departments in the District with regards to materials that have been requested to ascertain specifications and need.
Maintain adequate supply levels throughout the District, utilizing a PAR level replenishment system.
Negotiate and acts as the contact person for all purchase agreements with the various distributors for materials that may or may not be addressed by a group purchasing organization.
Solicit proposals (requests for proposals) from various manufacturers and distributors for all supplies and equipment throughout the District, with the exception of narcotics.
Coordinate the disaster supply/equipment process, which includes identifying supply/equipment needs, developing deployment guidelines and coordinating the maintenance of the equipment and expirations of supplies.
Coordinate deployment and organization of disaster supplies and equipment and District resources in the event of a declared disaster.
Oversee numerous vendor relationships such as medical waste pickup, oxygen supply, etc.
Maintain recording and tracking of durable medical equipment, PM’s per manufacturer’s specifications, their maintenance and repairs.
Oversee all incoming/outgoing parcels for the District, which includes receipt, asset tagging and delivery coordination.
Manage efficient and timely purchasing of items of responsibility for the District.
Manage uniform processes for the District.

Directly supervises employees in the Supply Chain Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
1 year experience in a leadership role in supply chain management preferred.
Knowledge of supply and equipment needs of EMS operations.
SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet skills required.

Current Texas Driver’s License.
