Job Summary : Evaluate Low Value shipments within BOSS to determine the eligibility of duty-free entry under Section 321 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended.

Detailed Job Description : Review and Compare shipment details (Importer/Shipper Comments, Quantities, Shipment Description, Weight, Shipment Value, Country of Origin, Export Country, Consignee, Shipment Value) in BOSS versus Shipment Documentation to determine, the shipment’s eligibility of duty-free entry under Section 321 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended.

Minimum Skills Required :

  • High school education or general equivalent is required.

  • A minimum of one year of customer service, general office, or data entry experience

  • Successful Completion of the Rating Class required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accurate and rapid data entry

  • Ability to recognize high shipment value to low weight and low shipment value to high weight ratios

  • Ability to determine if shipment descriptions are eligible for duty-free entry under Section 321 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended

  • JPA/ATPA of Fully Acceptable

  • Must not currently be on a PIP.

  • Candidate must have acceptable attendance record. Maximum of 4 occurrences within the last 12 months

  • Must be able to work on Holidays

  • 6 month position lock

Additional Skills :

  • Strongest candidate will have prior brokerage/international experience (FDA and F&W processing).

  • College degree is preferred.

  • Ability to speak foreign language (Spanish, French) is desired.

  • Knowledge of world geography preferred

  • Individual must have excellent organizational skills and be capable of handling multiple tasks throughout the day.

  • Able to work additional hours, as needed.

  • Able to work within a measured job (production and accuracy) requirement (assigned PPR).
