Job Summary

Provide administrative support for the faculty located at Callier-Dallas in the Communication Disorders master’s program. Work as a team with the Academic Support Coordinator.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and two years office administration or project management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with experience in a university environment. Would prefer some experience in accounting and financial areas. An equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable. Familiarity with or ability to adapt computer skills required. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Power Point a must. Familiarity with People Soft a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Interpret administrative decisions and policies; maintain records; prepare purchase orders and other expenditures; coordinate travel arrangements; maintain financial records; prepare manuscripts and compose routine correspondence; maintain calendars and schedule meetings. Supervise student workers.

Additional Information

Support the administrative needs of the faculty, students and staff of the Communication Disorders program in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences. Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Responsibilities include travel arrangements, routine correspondence, exams, reports, reimbursements, purchasing, as well as class-related needs. Manage cost centers associated with the faculty and the program including reconciling. This position works closely in a team setting with the Academic Support Coordinator in the Communication Disorders program.
