AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Business Development Specialist for immediate employment for the Dallas, Texas office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Find, pursue and win business opportunities by networking with clients as well as within the industry to develop relationships

  • Develop and execute a marketing program with short and long-term goals

  • Maintain and update information on general economic and, where appropriate, political conditions in the area

  • Carry out all line sales functions, including identifying, screening, and developing new project possibilities, front-end client contacts, and develops new clients for the company

  • Determine sales strategies and capture plans; plans and coordinates client negotiations

  • Determines and recommends when additional company management or technical support is required

  • Follow up proposals submitted and assures optimum consideration is received

  • Provide sales guidance and assistance to legal counsel, including comments on bid documents, and in preparation of contracts or agreements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 10+ years experience, with 3+ years in a supervisory position

  • Ability to provide direction and guidance to staff members and consultants

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

  • Knowledge of computer systems and their applications

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Strong business knowledge

  • Understanding of industry market trends and relevant technology
