The Client Relationship Manager supports TrueNorth's growth objectives through achievement of individual sales goals. Ongoing contact with established clients is maintained to ensure satisfaction and business retention.
Meets new business goals for assets under management
Responsible for lead generation, follow‑up on prospective clients, and development of a network of referral sources
Gathers and evaluates current client account information to ensure successful transfer of assets
At client's direction, follows up with accountants, attorneys, etc. to gather additional required data
Communicates client information effectively with implementation team so portfolio management may be initiated promptly and in accordance with stated investment objectives
Identifies ongoing list of prospects for solicitation
Maintains mailing lists for such solicitation and client communication
Maintains communication with current contacts to ensure client satisfaction, through written correspondence, telephone contact, account review meetings, etc.
8+ years of similar experience in client services and/or outside sales within retirement planning or investment services industries
Bachelor's Degree preferred
License requirements includes NASD Series 65 or NASD Series 66 (Registered Investment Advisor Combined Examination).
NASD Series 6 (Mutual Fund and Variable Contracts Representative) or 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 63 (Uniform State Law Examination)
Life Insurance and Variable Contracts licenses are needed in order to be employed through the broker/dealer subsidiary to market company retirement plans
Requires basic mathematical skills, including ability to compute portfolio cost basis, asset allocation percentages, etc.
Ability to develop and maintain network of professional sources for business referrals
Strong written and oral communication skills
Independent and entrepreneurial spirit with the capability to lead a new market with limited direction
Proven track record of obtaining new clients and retaining current business through strong relationship building skills
Also requires proficiency in personal computing skills (Microsoft Office Products, as well as investment management specific software packages such as Centerpiece)
The ability to travel as required
