Catering Services Supervisor (Job Number: 1605051008)


The Catering Supervisor will sit at our Corporate Office in Downtown Dallas and report to the Manager of Meeting Services. This position will be responsible for developing and promoting nutritious corporate catering and event menu options to advance healthy lifestyles.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinate quality preparation and presentation of healthy food and beverage offerings for the organization
  • Provide direction and catering oversight of Meeting Services Specialists staff for all meetings, plated meals, receptions, breaks, and company-sponsored special events
  • Lead and remain accountable for cost management and portion production to ensure minimal food waste
  • Supervise Meeting Services Specialists, track and assist with on-site catering orders, expense reports, accurate and timely catering setups, clearing and breaking-down
  • Provide company’s oversight of server and contracted staff
  • Coordinate, control, and track Tenet-owned catering equipment, appliances, supplies, dishware, and warranty contracts
  • Lead, plan, and deliver incentive-driven choose healthy campaigns


  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree or 5-7 years of related experience within Food & Beverage/Catering industry (preferably corporate or hospital related), Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Nutrition and healthy lifestyle passion
  • Experience with interacting, planning, and negotiating healthy menus with off-site event and banquet managers
  • Knowledge of expense forms and accuracy with vendors, orders, and invoice reconciliation
  • Proven guest services skills with ability to provide solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with Resource Scheduler software, or similar, and POS systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communication with high-level executives, teammates, and internal corporate clients
