QC Lab Chemist I – Dallas, TX
Kelly Services is currently seeking a Chemist for one of our top clients in Dallas, TX.
As a Quality Control Chemist placed with Kelly Services, you will maintain samples and documents in the lab.
Visually inspect the integrity of container/closure systems. Review paperwork. Update log books. Inspect lot codes/batch codes for correctness. Perform organoleptic and chemical analysis on bulk product, finished goods and raw materials. Proficient with the wet chemistry techniques. Working knowledge of SOPs. Familiarity with the use and function of common laboratory equipment. Attention to the details, and assess data quickly to identify and report OOS and OOT data. Ability to follow written direction to perform procedures in the quality control laboratory. Familiarity with cGMPs, 21CFR 111, 210 and 211, ISO and GLPs. Transcription of raw data to laboratory notebook and analytical test sheets. Collect and document retain samples. Adhere to laboratory safety standards, by adhering to all company safety policies and wearing appropriate and required PPE.
Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work.
All other duties as assigned.
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Fill in for other Quality Control Lab Technicians when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:
Good recording keeping skills. Good visual/observation skills. Working knowledge of cGMPs, 21CFR111, 210 and 211. Able to follow Standard Operation Procedures. Ability to think analytically and problem solve. Ability to comprehend basic chemistry and mathematics. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:
Manual dexterity skills to use testing equipment and perform tests. Lift up to 20 lbs when needed to put box of stability products on cart. Sit, bend, squat, kneel, turn, twist and stoop. Reach forward and overhead. Good eye/hand coordination. Stand/remain upright up to 4 hours at a time.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science, or minimum of 1 years of industry work experience. Previous work experience in food, drug, dietary supplement and/or cosmetic manufacturing preferred.
