As a Claims Account Executive, you will foster a strategic partnership with both internal and external IMA clients to effectively manage claims and to provide direction to reduce the total cost of risk. This position has the highest level of expertise and responsibility for the outcome of all claims matters. This role is directly involved in the sales process and client retention efforts.
Maintain a proactive approach that focuses on outcomes, not activities
Be a proactive advocate for the timely resolutions of claim matters for our internal and external clients
Communicate pertinent claim information on a timely basis to internal and external clients
Maintain external relationships and market to internal and external clients
Develop strong working knowledge of Sagitta, Risk Master and Carrier Interface Systems
Develop presentation skills to participate in the sales process and client retention efforts
Proactively manage and execute claim aspects of Customer Service Plan (CSP)
Assist on Claims Projects, reports, loss runs and any other tasks as assigned
Develop a high level expertise in specific practice areas to become a subject matter expert
Five to ten years of similar or related experience
A two year degree or education that is equivalent (Bachelor’s Degree Preferred)
Prior claim experience or coordination of claim and general insurance experience
A significant level of trust and diplomacy
Courtesy, tact and diplomacy as much of the work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization
Strong written and oral communication skills
The ability to discuss and solve claim problems with clients and insurance carriers
The ability to handle standard situations, handling and prioritizing multiple tasks
Strong Math skills
Strong proficiency in computer skills and programs such as Microsoft Office
The willingness to complete additional duties and take on additional responsibility as the need arises
