The Senior Product Manager is responsible for shaping the strategic product roadmap, partnering with a team of product managers and leading a cross-functional team to coordinate development and on-going, active management of industry-leading commerce product offerings and associated roadmap.
This individual will also drive the product commercialization strategy, manage competitive dynamics, provide subject matter expertise and serve as the market-facing conduit between external organizations and the internal product development organization and process inside Chase Commerce Solutions.
This highly collaborative position requires an individual who has demonstrable product management and ownership skills and a proven history of successful product and team management. The ideal candidate understands that product management is cross-functional and involves business development, strategic thinking, market research, client interaction and experience design, architecture, resource planning and general awareness of goals versus constraints. A great product manager understands the balance between the ideal product and the minimum viable product always thinking ahead for how best to delight customers.
Responsible for core processing clearing, settlement and funding solutions including multiple Commerce Solutions technology platforms and integration with other Lines of Business
Developing and maintaining internal and external product roadmaps and balancing market demand with internal business demands to shape that roadmap
Collecting market requirements, translating these into actionable material such as project charters and high level business requirements for the internal product development process, and shepherding projects through the delivery process, ensuring internal/operational and go-to-market planning are fully ready for ensuring we meet customer expectations
Interfacing with sales, sales support, marketing and operations staffs to engage customers and inform customers of the detailed features and functionality of Chase products and platforms
Helping customers solve problems and craft viable solutions that can be delivered to market
Managing a set of products, features, or functions, including documentation, messaging, positioning, business models, pricing recommendations so that all stakeholders have access to clear consumable information
Interfacing with external partners and customers to promote Chase Commerce Solutions offerings and socialize those offerings in a way that positions Chase as the go-to market partner for payments solutions
Supporting all controls and compliance requirements and ensuring that all pre and post launch conditions are met in order to release product on time and within budget
Ensuring product suite is managed end-to-end during all phases of the product life cycle (launch-growth-mature-decline-sunset)
Identifying performance metrics and managing to successful outcomes
Creating and delivering customer experiences that delight and positively influence customer and employee NPS
Bachelor's degree in computer science, finance, accounting, business, or related field
5 to 7 years of product or related experience
Must have 3 years experience working at a payments, or payment technology, company
In-depth understanding of the payments process and payments landscape (merchants, brands, acquirers, gateways, third party providers, etc.)
Experience in transaction processing affecting clearing, settlement and funding preferred
Proven ability to drive and deliver a successful Product Roadmap
Experience developing product strategy and establishing product positioning
Must have team management experience as well as strong organizational skills to plan, organize and schedule resources
Proven success interfacing with external parties
Experience with technical concepts and working with technical staff as needed
Ability to develop creative ways to achieve goals
Strong communication and presentation skills
