Toyota Consumer Insights Department is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Consumer Insights Senior Analyst.
The Consumer Insights Sr. Analyst is responsible for gathering the voice of the customer for a variety of research projects relating to Product Development, Launch Activities, Market Positioning, Communication, and deepening our understanding of consumers. Typical projects are: Syndicated Studies, Surveys, Focus Groups, Study Teams, Marketing and Product Clinics, Concept Testing.
Reporting to the Consumer Insights Manager, the person in this role will support the Consumer Insights department's objective to champion the desires of our consumers to ensure they are at the center of the decisions our engineers, product planners, marketers, and executives make.
Consulting with client groups to provide advice on all aspects of the research process, translating business objectives into research questions Project management of Quantitative and Qualitative Research Projects Selecting, designing and implementing a variety of research methodologies to address relevant research questions Analyzing data to generate relevant and actionable consumer insights Effectively communicating insights to a variety of audiences, from working-level teams to senior executives Pro-actively monitoring and recommending new and innovative ideas/approaches to address changing research needs and priorities Managing assigned project financial and operational resources Understand how and when to apply various analytic techniques Judge the capabilities of vendors who provide these type of analyses Explain these techniques to their team members and their clients groups A successful candidate will have:
Recent experience in market research and analysis of consumer behavior A Bachelor's Degree Deep understanding of the automotive industry, product planning function, and marketing/advertising function Proven ability to interpret and synthesize large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data Understanding and ability to write quantitative surveys based on agreed set of business questions and research objectives Ability to effectively communicate research findings to a diverse business audience Ability to write concise and insightful reports for a business audience Strong project management and relationship building orientation Ability to effectively lead, coach and develop cross functional project teams Experienced in using mTab and SPSS Experience working with the Microsoft Office suite of tools Extensive Experience with Research Methods Experienced in a variety of research methodologies such as: Internet Surveys /Telephone/Mail, Ethnographies, One-on-One Interviews, Focus Groups, Vehicle Clinics Expertise in Analytic Techniques Basic understanding of the applications of various analytic techniques and the ability to explain these techniques to their team members and their internal clients Analytic techniques that all CI Consultants should be familiar with are: Chi Square, T-Tests, Correlations, Regression, Factor Analysis, Cluster Analysis, and Conjoint Analysis A successful candidate may have:
(an MBA or other advanced degree in Economics, Psychology, Anthropology, or Sociology is preferred but not required)
